Definition of Coaching: The International Coach Federation (ICF) defines coaching as partnering with clients in a thought-provoking and creative process that inspires them to maximize their personal and professional potential. All of our Coach Training provide hours toward ICF Certification.

New Normal Coaching offers 60-hours of Professional Coach Training. Four courses (15-hours each course) comprise the complete program.

Introduction to Coaching: This course is designed to orientate participants to the leadership discipline of coaching. Participants will be introduced to coaching language, coaching conversations, and an overall understanding of what coaching is, how it differs from other leadership disciplines, and how to partner with others to achieve their goals. Participants will learn about the eleven ICF Core Coaching Competencies, emphasizing Active Listening and Powerful Questions. Required text: Co-Active Coaching: Changing Business Transforming Lives by Henry Kimsey-House, Karen Kimsey-House, Phillip Sandaho, and Laura Whitworth.

Implementing Coaching: This course is designed to move coaching theory into practice. Now that participants understand what coaching “is”, this course will empower coaches to implement coaching competencies into behaviors, leadership, and coaching conversations. This course highlights the following ICF Core Coaching Competencies: Meeting Ethical Guidelines, Establishing a Coaching Agreement, Establishing Trust and Intimacy, Coaching Presence, and Creating Awarenenss. Required text: The Heart of Coaching by Thomas Crane

Leadership Coaching: This course is designed to help participants learn how to coach leaders and employees within an organization. We will introduce participants to a long-term relationship with a corporate client as well as explore the impact of Emotional Intelligence in the coaching relationship. This course highlights the following ICF Core Coaching Competencies: Direct Communication, Designing Actions, Planning and Goal Setting, and Managing Progress and Accountability. Required text: Masterful Coaching by Robert Hargrove. We will also be using Emotional Intelligence 2.0 (but, I am not requiring you purchase the book). However, it would benefit you to be familiar with this text.

Coaching Culture Shift: This course is designed to help participants utilize all eleven ICF Core Coaching Competencies in coaching change. We will look through the lenses of change management and coaching organizational culture shift. Required text: Appreciative Inquiry by David Cooperrider.
